Walk Away
Electronic Body Girl keeps the tempo locked at a deceptive one-oh-two, but the energy meter reads nine, so nothing here settles into typical downtempo languor. Instead, the track moves with a twitchy, electro-tinged indie stride; the key of 2B throws a sharp, almost metallic light across the rhythm, and every bar feels deliberately off-centre, as if the groove is trying to shake off its own accessible title.
In a set, this is the record I drop when the floor needs relief from peak-time velocity but still craves tension; its high-voltage slink occupies that liminal zone between warm-up and full weird-out. It is too restless for the chillout room yet too idiosyncratic for obvious main-room fodder, and that friction is exactly where it earns its keep in the rotation.
