Myrtle Avenue

I hear this moving at a measured one-fifteen, drifting through F-sharp minor with the unhurried grace of a record that refuses the peak-time imperative. The energy sits at a restrained four, yet the detail in the low-end and the haze around the melody suggest a tension that never quite breaks, content to luxuriate in its own atmosphere. In my sets, it belongs to that precious pre-midnight window when the room is still porous and people are listening rather than merely reacting. It is not a weapon but a welcome, an invitation to lean in. Leftfield deep house this considered does not fill floors; it curates them.
