At 118 BPM in 6B, the rhythm is less a pulse and more a gentle sway, rolling in at an energy level of two that keeps everything at arm’s length. The texture is loose and unhurried, letting a soft disco undertow pull quietly beneath the folk surface without ever breaking the tension.
It belongs in the crease between closing time and last call, when the floor has thinned and the system can breathe. You would not slot this for peak movement; instead, it works as a horizontal bridge, a moment of drift for listeners still awake enough to lean into its subtleties.
