In A minor the harmony stays shadowed even when the synth opens up, so the hook arrives with a bit of ache rather than a grin. Energy holds at a steady seven: enough pressure for a wide room, not so much that the groove has to shout to be heard.
This is a daytime record for me — the sort of thing that works in the hour before the lights come down, when a set needs a melody to hold attention without sprinting. The texture is clean and wide, reverb doing most of the architecture. I'd use it as a bridge rather than a peak; the vocal gives it a face, and the arrangement leaves room on either side of it.
