Toby Simpson pushes the remix into peak-time territory, yet the source material’s warmth refuses to evaporate. At a steady 125 BPM and in key 9B, the groove locks with the efficiency of tech house but breathes with the emotive cadence I look for. The energy might sit at ten, yet there is no sterile bombast; instead, the pressure feels like a crowded basement at three in the morning, bodies moving under low ceilings.
It is exactly the kind of melodic underground cut that rewards patient selectors. I would slot this after the warm-up has solidified but before the heads-down hypnosis takes full hold, letting the 9B tonality ripple across a floor already primed. The texture is smooth, the rhythm insistent, and the late-night atmosphere lingers long after the kick fades.
