Fluids in Motion III
I hear the rhythm land with the relentless precision I expect from a Livity Sound cut, riding a 125 BPM pulse that feels faster than it is thanks to the sheer density of the low-end. There is no let-up in the energy—this sits at a 9—but rather than pummelling the room, it achieves that intensity through negative space and cavernous dub textures, all tinted by the minor-key melancholy of its 10A centre.
When I programme this, it is the kind of forward-thinking weapon that bridges heads-down hypnosis with genuine physical urgency; it belongs in those late-floor moments when the crowd needs weight without obviousness. The distinctive sound design does not decorate the groove so much as hardwire into my mix, making every hi-hat flicker and sub-bass swell feel absolutely necessary.
