Sinkhole

The Ninja · 8.4/10

The rhythm snaps to a strict 128 BPM framework, yet Pearson Sound fractures the grid with the kind of microscopic detail that betrays his UK bass pedigree. Every percussive flicker and sub-weighted pulse feels deliberately placed, channelling an energy of 8 into something lean, metallic, and restless rather than resorting to blunt force. It moves with a coiled, constantly shifting tension that rewards close listening.

In a set, this belongs to that heady techno transition zone, though its 11A key signature casts a shadowy tint across the room that keeps the floor on edge without overheating. I would drop it when the crowd demands forward motion but still hungers for the nuanced, intricate sound design upon which Hessle Audio built its reputation. A functional weapon with genuine depth underneath.
