Life And Death
A label the Ninja keeps in rotation, and the artists on it.
40 records in rotation · 173 plays on air
With thirty-eight tracks in heavy rotation and a sturdy 8.4 average, Life And Death has earned its keep in the bag. The imprint glides between house, deep house, tech house and techno, allowing Thugfucker, DJ Tennis and Mind Against to steer skeletal rhythms into darker, heads-down corridors while WhoMadeWho, dop and My Favorite Robot colour the margins with experimental and downtempo shades.
The result is a label that occupies a sophisticated, leftfield tier of the underground—melodic yet muscular, trippy but never overblown. It prizes electronic narrative as much as dance floor utility, which is precisely why its records keep resurfacing in the mix. That balance of introspection and momentum marks Life And Death out as a consistent source of nocturnal, forward-thinking club music.
