The Ninja on this record
At 122 BPM in the bright territory of 4B, I hear a rhythm of measured patience: the kick lands clean and central, while synth pads swell in orderly cycles that trace a calculated, rather than instinctive, emotional arc. The energy level of 7 keeps the temperature warm without tipping into frenzy, letting the progressive architecture unfold in steady increments where every breakdown arrives exactly on cue.
In my sets, this sits in that comfortable mid-hour slot where the floor is already secured and I can coast on familiarity; the melodic hook is immediate, but the surrounding details are polished to the point of anonymity. It is functional, well-proportioned music that does its job and then politely steps aside.
