Steel City Dance Discs
A label the Ninja keeps in rotation, and the artists on it.
9 records in rotation · 21 plays on air
Steel City Dance Discs operates at a volatile intersection of bassline, breaks, techno, trance and house, with a roster that includes Kettama, Tommy Holohan, Interplanetary Criminal, Moktar, Real Lies and Ma Sha. The nine tracks in rotation average an 8.4 Ninja score, suggesting a catalogue that prizes impact without sacrificing coherence across its genre-hopping framework.
In the underground, it reads as a conduit for rugged, peak-time electronics that refuse singular categorisation. Whether leaning into the propulsive weight of bassline and breaks or the hypnotic pull of trance and techno, the label's output feels engineered for immediate floor reaction while retaining enough detail to reward repeated listens.
