Trapped

At 130 bpm, the track moves with a taut, mechanical stride. The energy level of 9 is felt in clipped percussion and a tightly wound low-end, less about flash and more about sustained pressure. There is a circling, almost claustrophobic momentum to the drums that justifies the title without ever needing a breakdown.

It sits naturally in the early-to-middle hours of a set, where the floor is warm but not yet frenzied. The 12B key centre adds a lean, focused brightness that keeps the mood from turning too grim, threading a subtle melodic tension through the groove. You could slip it in after something looser and watch the room snap into focus.
