It is deep minimal techno in the classic Connaisseur mould, all sleek edges and subterranean pulse.

I would slide it neatly between more boisterous cuts, offering breathing space without breaking the hypnotic spell. That same restraint, however, is exactly what keeps it from being truly unforgettable: it is a reliable workhorse rather than a show pony, competent but slightly anonymous, and while it earns its place in rotation, I am still waiting for Chardronnet to take a real risk.
