HIdden Tides (Ricardo Elgardo Remix)

The breakbeat rolls at a steady 125 BPM, but Elgardo keeps the groove loose, letting the A-minor pads swell across the bars instead of locking them down. There is plenty of melodic motion—synth lines that spiral upward and dissolve—but the high energy rating comes from sharp drum attacks rather than any real tension, so the track hovers in a state of constant, polished agitation.

In a set, this sits comfortably in the earlier climb or as a bridge between straighter techno and something more contemplative. It fills space without dominating it; the cyclic drift works the floor in increments, though at energy 9 one expects a sharper textural edge than the mix actually delivers. Functional, pretty, and slightly safer than its title suggests.
