The Ninja on this record
The rhythm locks at 133 BPM with a stripped-back, mechanical pulse that favours repetition over surprise. I find little melodic padding or harmonic drift; instead, the track generates its heat through a taut, cyclical groove and the sheer forward pressure of its high energy level, leaving plenty of headroom in the mix for neighbouring records to breathe.
To my ears, its 10B key keeps the tonal mood bright and utilitarian, making it an easy pivot between heavier cuts. It does not try to own the room, but the lean framework and steady momentum work well as a transitional slab, bridging peaks without flattening the floor’s intensity or asking for attention it cannot quite repay.
