At 122 the kick never hurries, yet the meter reads full — that's the trick of it. Everything sits in the mid-range: a clipped vocal phrase doing the work of a hook, chords kept slightly damped, hats close to the floor. In A-flat minor it never quite resolves, which is why it holds a room without asking anything of it.
A warm-up record or a mid-set breather rather than a peak-time one. The sample carries the melody so the drums can stay plain, and the plainness is the point — nothing to distract you from the swing. Freerange territory: polite on the surface, moreish underneath. I'd play it early, a touch loud, and let the vocal do the talking.
