I keep coming back to how Ebbb locks the groove at one-eleven—liminal territory, too brisk for the lounge yet too slinky for peak time—while keeping the energy dialled to a relentless nine. The tropical house tag might conjure poolside fluff, but Ninja Tune’s leftfield instinct drags it into darker, humid terrain, all muffled percussion and bass weight that sags through the minor-key atmosphere like heat haze.

For my money, this is a mid-set pivot weapon: it builds a crowded, steamy tension without resorting to a straight four-four jack, slotting perfectly into that downtempo-to-club bridge where bodies need propulsion, not instructions. With danceability left off the menu, the track works through pure, high-energy mood, a foggy breather that feels more basement rave than beach bar.
