I hear the kick lock at 128 with the inevitability of a tight groove, yet there is a swagger here that lifts it above utilitarian fare. In 5A’s minor-key shade, the loops feel less like loops and more like narrowing corridors—tight, obsessive, and utterly geared for a floor that knows the difference between loud and heavy.

For my money, this is peak-time artillery with actual poise; at energy ten it does not ask for attention but commands it, slotting neatly into the frayed final hour when the room needs weight without wandering. I would reach for it as a tool that carries its own personality: propulsive, shadowed, and impossible to mistake for filler.
