At one-oh-nine, Terrain keeps the tempo deceptively sluggish, letting industrial grit scrape through the mix like rust on concrete. The bass doesn't drop so much as metastasise, swelling outward in key 6A with a resinous darkness that feels more possessed than programmed; every hi-hat flicker and crushed metallic texture arrives with malicious intent, pushing that energy rating of nine into physical, near-visceral territory.

This is a bridging weapon for the leftfield hours—too slow for peak-time frenzy, too heavy for warm-up politeness. I'd slot it after a half-time beat to let the room reorientate around its gravitational pull, or use it to test a rig's patience before something faster locks in. It builds a claustrophobic chamber rather than an open dance floor, and that forward-thinking low-end is precisely the sort of distinctive leftfield fit that earned it rotation.
