Making It Whistle (Edit)
I hear the kick land with a padded thud at 120 BPM, anchoring a grid that feels simultaneously rigid and aqueous. To my ears, Fehlmann works in 12A with a dub-techno patience that lets chords ripple outward like heat-haze above asphalt. For all its minimal architecture, the energy rating of 9 is unmistakable: there is a relentless, forward-leaning pressure here, synth pads swelling and receding in a vacuum-sealed room where every echo is precisely measured.
I’d use this as a mid-set leveller, the kind of record I drop when the floor needs propulsion without obvious fireworks. It bridges deeper warm-up territories and the main-room climax, its locked groove and submerged harmonics functioning as both hypnotic tool and emotional anchor. The absence of melodic theatrics is exactly what makes it so devastatingly effective.
