Everything sits in A minor, yet it is never mournful; instead, the key becomes a shadowy corridor through which dubbed-out chords and microscopic hi-hats flicker like faulty strip-lights. The energy sits at a relentless nine-out-of-ten, yet it feels weirdly weightless, building room tension without my ever resorting to cheap theatrics.

In my set, this is the weapon I reach for when the floor is already elastic and I need to stretch them further into the wee hours.
