At a steady 128 bpm, the kick lands with that cushioned, vinyl-weighted thud Shall Not Fade does so well, while the 9A key keeps everything locked in a subdued, nocturnal glow that never quite tips into melancholy. The energy sits at a confident eight, meaning the track pushes forward without bullying the floor—synths swell and retreat like breathing, leaving space for the swung hi-hats to do the talking.
This is the sort of record I’d reach for when the room’s warm but not yet wild: a bridging tool between deeper opening hours and the peak-time crush. It retains enough underground grit to satisfy the purists, yet its accessible, soulful hook gives the less initiated something to grab onto. In the mix, it’s a diplomatic envoy between the basement and the broader floor.
