Wear Me Down
The four-four kick lands with a satisfying thud at 125 BPM, but it is the surrounding circuitry that commands attention: saturated pads and crumpled percussion that feel distinctly Brainfeeder in their leftfield sensibility. With an energy level of eight, it drives the room forward while the emotional depth that got it into my rotation keeps it from collapsing into mere utility techno.
Locked in the 11B key, the harmonic content lends an unexpected brightness that cuts through the system, making this a prime candidate for the transition between warm-up and peak-time in my sets. It is the sort of record I reach for when I need that distinctive sound design to stretch out across the floor without losing its dancefloor imperative.
