Viers locks the tempo at 128 but channels the track’s high energy inward, creating a coiled tension rather than an outward rush. The rhythm operates like a lean machine: dry percussion, submerged pads and a throbbing bassline slot into the grid with minimal fuss. There is no release, only accumulation; the 5A key’s mood seeps from the walls until the room feels simultaneously expansive and claustrophobic. It is house music viewed through a keyhole—intimate, hypnotic and relentlessly lean.
In a set, this is the weapon for a floor already locked but needing direction away from obvious peaks. It sits in that late-night pocket where heads-down movement takes over, bridging deeper strains and propulsive fare without dropping its guard. The understated groove trusts the 128bpm pulse to do the heavy lifting while the imprint’s leftfield sensibility keeps things credibly off-centre.
