The breaks at 130 BPM feel taut rather than explosive to my ears, locked into a groove that seems hewn from raw material rather than neatly sequenced. Working in 12A, Parker lets the minor key gloom settle like dust across the frequencies, favouring cavernous space and granular texture over any obvious melody or release; it is the sound of heavy machinery operating at low power, precise and deliberately austere.

I would not reach for this as a peak-time weapon. With an energy level this restrained, I would slot it into the opening hour or a deliberate lull, letting its subterranean frequencies colonise the room without force. On a Hessle Audio plate, that refusal to pander is exactly the point—an underground tool for DJs patient enough to make the floor lean in and listen.
