Double Double Shake Shake

The Ninja · 8.1/10

I’d call this a false-idler: at a deceptively languid 102 BPM, the energy is relentless, almost mischievous in its refusal to settle. Iorie and Lui Mafuta thread organic percussion through deep house architecture in A minor, crafting a texture that feels lived-in rather than programmed; the warmth is immediate, yet the melodic undercurrent keeps me leaning forward. It is the sound of a crowded room at two a.m. when the lights finally drop.

In my sets, this is the bridging weapon—too forceful for ambient drift, too sleazy and slow for peak-time sprinting. It sits perfectly in that liminal pocket where bodies move closer and the bass feels like conversation. On Serafin, it makes absolute sense: melodic, emotional, and physically insistent without ever rushing the tempo.
